Members from the Cato Manor Trio Task Team were requested to trace and arrest two wanted suspects via Cato Manor CAS: ***/07/2023, for attempted murder. A reliable informer was tasked to find out the whereabout of the 1 suspect. The information led us to a residence in Seaview. A sting operation was set up for the 24th of July 2023 at the BP garage on Randles Road, Sydenham at 10h30am. Members from the Trio Task Team, Cato Manor Detectives (D/W/O FO Khan) and Urban Defence set up an observation point. The suspect arrived in an Isuzu bakkie a short while later where he was arrested.
A follow up operation was conducted at 86 Palace Place, Bonela where the second suspect was arrested, charged and released into his guardians custody as he is a minor.
The first suspect was in possession of a licensed 9mm Glock Pistol, 2 x magazines and 30 x live 9mm rounds of ammunition.
