On the 11th of October 2022, members from the Urban Defence Field Unit were activated with information from Tracker Connect regarding a stolen VW Polo that was taken from the Point area.
The above mentioned vehicle was tracked and successfully recovered in River Road, Umbilo. Members found the found the vehicle fitted with false registration plates and licence disc
Video footage was obtained from River Road confirmed that the suspects abandoned the stolen car and jumped into a Silver Etios and fled in an unknown direction.
