At around 18h30 on 30/11/2022 members from the Urban Defence Field Unit and Cato Manor Task Team received information regarding the location of a suspect Vukani Dlamini who was wanted for 3 counts of theft.
The suspect was located on Bhubesi Road, Chesterville. It was at this stage when the suspect resisted arrest and attempted to disarm one of the field unit members of his rifle. He injured 1 x task team member on his right arm a bit the second task team member on his left shoulder.
The suspect was successfully apprehended and transported to Westville SAPS.We would also like to thank Doc Kev from Doc Kev Medical for providing medical care for the two injured police officers at Westville SAPS.Thank you to all services involved!
