SUCCESS REPORT
Operation Success:
On 7 April 2023, information was received from Crime Intelligence regarding a charcoal grey VW Polo with registration number NPN##### with a white male occupant who was transporting Heroin. The said vehicle was going to travel on the N2 North bound from the M7. With the assistance of various law enforcement agencies and Urban Defence, an observation point was set up. Upon the vehicle been seen joining the N2 the members from Urban Defence relayed the information to the Cato Manor Trio Task Team and Durban Central K9 unit. The said vehicle was boxed in and the vehicle was signaled to pull over into the emergency lane. The said vehicle was searched, and approximately 1 kilogram of a brown substance suspected to be Heroin was found in a black Woolworths bag. The slow lane of the freeway was blocked off by Metro Police to allow the narcotics dog to work and LCRC.
The scene was secured and processed on the N2 north bound.
