SUCCESS REPORT
OPERATION SUCCESS
At around 19H20, while conducting routine patrols on Brickfield Road, members from Urban Defence saw a group of black males being chased at the corners of Roslyn and Brickfield by members of the public.
Upon questioning the complainant, it was established that 5x suspects allegedly robbed him on Hill Road of his cell phone.
The complainant stated that the suspects were armed with firearms and knives.
After a brief foot chase, two suspects were apprehended, and 1 x firearm was recovered at the corner of Crescent Street and Brickfield.
Mayville SAPS Field unit arrived a few minutes later and took the suspects into custody. The suspects were charged for armed robbery and possession of unlicensed firearm. The remaining three suspects managed to evade arrest.
